Most call channels post a lot and say little. Before you join one, look at three numbers: how often it posts, how often it is early, and how much it overlaps with channels you already follow.
Volume is not quality
A channel with thousands of calls a month is a firehose. That is fine for scanning, bad for following blindly. The directory shows calls per channel and when each last posted, so you can spot dead and spammy channels at a glance.
Being early is the edge
The first-caller race checks tokens that several channels posted and records who posted first. A channel that is regularly first is worth more than five that repost the same token an hour later.
Overlap wastes attention
Two channels that post the same tokens give you the same signal twice. Use compare to see the shared tokens and who was earlier on each.
